Hope Network’s medical care initiatives are done in partnership with Mercy & Truth Medical Mission. Together, Hope Network and Mercy and Truth operate a clinic in Raytown that provides free or low-cost medical care to the uninsured and under served. The partnership between the two organizations is two-fold. Mercy & Truth provides all systems, record keeping, supervision, medical services, and guidance for the clinic. Hope Network provides volunteers, financial support, and works with patients to ensure other needs (such as proper nutrition) are met.
We are expanding! We will increase from a 2500 to a 4800 sq ft facility with additional providers and seven more exam rooms. The records for 2008 revealed that we have over 850 clients that account for over 2,000 visits. Over 70% of our clients are uninsured and living below the federal poverty level of income, and 30% have Missouri Medicaid. We anticipate with the expansion that our annual visits will increase to at least 5,000-7,000. We hope to expand our dental care capabilities along with other areas of interest.
